How to Use the Image Tools

Find the right tool

  • Make a photo smaller in bytes: Image Compressor. Keep suitable dimensions and compare quality settings.
  • Meet an upload size ceiling: Compress Image to KB. Check both the byte limit and the required dimensions.
  • Change an unsupported format: Image Converter. Choose the format accepted by the receiving app.
  • Prepare an iPhone HEIC photo: HEIC to JPG. Create a widely supported still image while keeping the original.
  • Change width and height: Image Resizer. Use pixels for screen dimensions; resizing cannot restore missing detail.
  • Remove unwanted edges: Image Cropper. Choose the composition before reducing the final dimensions.
  • Check location and camera tags: EXIF Remover. Metadata removal does not hide information visible in the photo.
  • Prepare a document photo: Passport Photo Tool. Read the official application rules before editing.

1. Choose a tool and select your images

Match the tool to your task, then select or drop supported files. Batch tools accept up to 100 files per selection, with a 100 MB per-file limit. Large images can still exceed your device memory.

2. Adjust the output settings

For compression, start with the default quality and compare the result. For conversion, choose the format your destination accepts. For resizing, enter the required pixel dimensions and keep the aspect ratio unless a different shape is required.

3. Process and inspect the result

Start the operation and follow its progress. Check the resulting file size, dimensions and preview. Inspect small text, faces, edges and transparency. If the result does not suit your use, adjust the settings and try again from the original.

4. Download and check the saved file

Download an individual result or use the ZIP option on supported batch tools. Open the saved file before submitting it elsewhere. Keep your original, and clear the local History when using a shared computer.

Make one change at a time

For example, a form may ask for a JPG below 100 KB and a minimum width of 600 pixels. Converting to JPG fixes the format, but you still need to check the bytes and width. Start from the original each time to avoid repeatedly applying lossy compression.

Transparent logos need a format that supports transparency, such as PNG or WebP. JPG fills transparent areas with white in this tool. Animated GIFs need the GIF Compressor; the ordinary converters produce still images.

Understand progress and errors

The progress display follows processing stages and completed files. It is not a countdown: decoding a large image or loading an encoder can take longer than other stages. Keep the tab open, and use smaller batches on a phone if memory is limited. In a partly successful batch, download the completed files and retry the failed ones separately.

Your results and local History

History can retain completed downloads in this browser after the tab closes. Use its delete or Clear all controls on shared devices. See the privacy policy for retention and external-service details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Use Compress Image to KB when a form specifies a maximum file size. Enter a ceiling slightly below the portal limit, then check the downloaded file and the required pixel dimensions. Reaching a byte limit alone does not guarantee acceptance.
