Why we built it

A simple image task should have clear settings, visible progress and a result you can inspect. Local processing also keeps selected photos out of a remote image-processing queue.

Browsers can now do all of this work themselves. HTML5 Canvas handles resizing, cropping and re-encoding; WebAssembly handles the formats the browser does not encode natively. So we built the tools that way instead — the processing happens on your machine, using your CPU, and the file never touches the network.

How it actually works

Local processing
Your file is read with the browser File API, drawn to a Canvas, and re-encoded in place. For AVIF we load a WebAssembly encoder. All of it runs in the page.
Verify it yourself
Your selected image is processed locally. The page can still load scripts, fonts and format decoders over the network, so an internet connection may be needed to load a tool.

How we pay for it

The tools have no paid tier. Advertising is planned to help cover running costs; ad placements appear only when enabled. Advertising services may process data separately from the local image tools. Read the current details in our privacy policy.

What advertising does not buy
Ad placement has no influence on tool output, no tool is gated behind an ad, and we do not insert interstitials between you and your download.

What we will not do

  • Upload your images to a server for processing.
  • Ask you to register an account to use a tool.
  • Watermark your output or require a paid export.
  • Claim any licence or ownership over the images you process.
  • Add tracking beyond what our advertising partner requires, disclosed in the privacy policy.

Accuracy and limitations

Our guides cover things like US passport and DV Lottery photo dimensions. We link to the relevant authorities, but the guides are not official guidance — always confirm requirements against the relevant government source before you submit anything that matters. Some applications require an unaltered photograph or a professional photographer. A preset does not establish compliance. Batch tools also have file and memory limits, explained in the help guide.
